Josh McClenney — North Carolina Field Coordinator, Energy Democracy Program
A Piedmont North Carolina native, Josh attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill receiving B.A.’s in American History and Communication Studies, as well as a minor in Writing for the Screen and Stage. After spending several summers working with Appalachia Service Project and following a brief period of vocational discernment, Josh attended Appalachian State University where he received an M.A. in Appalachian Studies. Josh joined the Appalachian Voices team following his graduation from ASU as the North Carolina Field Coordinator for the Energy Democracy Program and is happy to be returning home to the Triangle. A lover of sports (Go Heels!), live music, and baking, Josh is looking forward to working with communities and organizations across the state.
