Preparing for Climate Change’s Effects in Wilmington by Tim Armstrong
On Thursday 11 December Cape Fear Sierra Club sponsored an outing to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Tim Armstrong delivered an excellent lecture with the above slides and gave us a tour. Wilmington has the oldest weather records in NC - see hand written weather data from 1871, much of it written by candle or gas before we had electricity locally.
