The City of Wilmington Parks Bond referendum is on the November 8, 2016 election ballot.  Why a bond?  Citizens have told us additional parks and improvements to existing parks are important to them: the 3rd ranked priority behind bike/walking trails and traffic.  If the bond passes, the City will build new soccer fields, expand community centers, construct a kayak/SUP launch at Bradley Creek and build the 6.5 acre urban park on the downtown riverfront and much more.  Development of a large urban park is an investment in our future much like the investments other cities, even smaller cities like Asheville and Greenville, SC have made and will provide direct economic return to Wilmington.
